In April of 2020 during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, Railex Corp. of Copiague, NY went from metal fabricators to manufacturers of PPE Medical Face Shields in just four days.

When COVID-19 shut down the business, Railex found out about a desperate need for PPE medical face shields at Stony Brook Medical Hospital. Using our expertise and “get it done” approach, the Railex team was making parts for the hospital within four days.

We delivered frames for 5,000 PPE face shields to the hospital at no charge, using material donated by Lowe’s, Home Depot, PC Richard & Son, The Stony Brook School, JPG Electric, LPR Precision, and North Shore Tool. UFCW Local 342 members are now making medical face shields to keep the company going, and to help fight the pandemic. They are now available for immediate sale & shipping to the general public.
